The above table showed that uncountable nouns such as “ knowledge”, “information”and“work ”were wrongly used as countable nouns in compositions, which were the most frequently committed errors. As for the error of type B, which was about uncountable nouns and determiner. Determiners like “ a”, “ an”, “ every”, “ many”, “ a few ”were usually used with uncountable nouns that were presented below: (1) The professor gave us an information. (2) We couldn’t get every knowledge from textbooks. (3) Cindy gave me a few advice about English study. (4) My father watched TV to get many news. Meanwhile, the error of type C was another situation, which was countable nouns are used with no determiner. Junior students may fail to place any determiners before countable nouns. Look at some examples. (1)I was reading novel when John came into my room. (2)We may have examination tomorrow. (3) I want to be teacher. (4) America is developed country. As for the error of type D,which was the most frequently committed by junior students. Such examples were listed as following: (1)I want to live in different place. (2)I list all the thing I have to finish tomorrow. (3)Both of his parents had gone to China. (4)One of my favorite book is The old man and the sea. Last but not the least, the error of type E, collection errors between plural nouns and determiner. This part took a small part of 9.52%. However, it still need us to pay attention to. Let‘s see some typical examples. (1)Every students work hard to win scholarship. (2)I could remember every words in his letter. It should be expressed as plural concept, but not in plural forms. These students might not master basic English grammar well. Next, let’s talk about the related test. The grammar test was made of 15 items and covered all types of errors to meet our research needs. Most importantly, the test was tested by SPSS11.0 and it was reliability. The table below was the result.
