On the Importance of a Name Everyone has his or her own name which is usually given by our relatives or some respectable people. Actually, a name seems to be everywhere in our lives during a conversation, on the textbook and in an e-mail. However, people;s attiudes vary on the question whether someone's name is vital or not. As for some people, a name is no more than a character sign which is not a necessity. Actually, without a name, the society would still run and we can still live. What's worse, there is no such a name that cannot be the name of others rather than you, which means that it's not unique. Therefore, they treat their names indifferently. However, there is no lack of people who put much emphasis on their names and allow nobody to amuse the names. In their hearts, it's the wish behind the name from one's parents or others that is worth cherishing. Besides, they consider their names as one of the signs of identity, which tightens the link between a name and the owner's reputation, character and something like these. From my perspective, I would like to give priority to my name which could always remind me of my parents' expectation and act as the impetus for me to work hard and achieve my goal. In our daily life, the effect a name exerts may be more obivious. Provided everyone has no name, we would not know who we are talking with, who is the owner of something and who is the one we want, etc.
