Henry doesn’t know what true love is. In chapter 11 of the novel , the priest goes to the field hospital to visit Henry. He tries to protect Catherine, While Catherine pregnant, he asks her to marry him to maintain her reputation, when Catherine is going to give birth to a child, he recommends them to move to the bigger town where is near hospital. He is willing to accept suggestions to make Catherine happy.
