My name is Lin Min. It was created by my mother. “Min” in Chinese is “smart”. All my family hope their little girl will be the wisdom one and will have a bright future. My mom once said I had a nick name which was from my uncle, however, she was not willing to tell me. Now I have another name, Lin SI Xiao, which I love very much and I’d like to replace my name into it on my ID card, made by a fortune-teller. I also have an English name, Lam, which presents I am the one liking to escape. When something bad happen I would get rid of them rather than face them and solve them. I was born on October 15, 1994 in Jieyang. My family consists of five members-grandparents, mother, brother and me. Grandfather, 74, a typical farmer. Grandmother,76, a traditional housewife. Except my grandmother is Zhuang nationality, four of us are Hans. Mother, 41, is a worker in a private factory. Brother, 18, is a trainee in personal factory. In my own view, I always think that my family is happy but weird. When I was a child, I lived with my grandparents in country and was brought up by many people around me, especially my uncles who have always taken me to many amazing places and to do many exciting things. One took me to his friends’ homes to enjoy different home-made dishes, also bought me a lot of toys and caught every chance to amusement parks. Another always took us kids to fields to dig sweet potatoes which then were put into a simple brick kiln to toast. Also, there were too many people consist of my childhood memory and can never be wiped away. Throughout my teenage years, I was a wordless girl and was low self-esteem at my middle high school but was confident at my senior high school. It was a very big difference between two stages of high school. I always made effort to escape from the crowd and the only thing that reminded people of my existence was by my grades. So in my classes, I was a good student for my teachers but not a good classmate in my classmates’ eyes. As a result I didn’t have many friends but one or two of them are true friends. Those time can’t be called happy or sad days. It just was a quiet stage because I love being in peaceful but not lonely condition. In 2008, there are something really bad happened. My uncle, who is one of the most important parts of my life, died suddenly that all my family can not accept. As my father died when I was a very little girl, my uncle is absolutely as my father’s role. With this big hit, I felt insensible about anything and I never dropped one tear in these sorrow years. Now I have to say time is a good doctor to treat my pain and I feel better than before. At least I smile again with my lovely people around who try to make me happy. 2013 was a really busy year. All students liked me studied hard for the entrance exam. All of us called it a turning point that can decide the rest of our lives. Unluckily, I broke my ankle and I had to treat it far away from my school while my classmates were studying in classroom. That messed my life completely. Now I am college student at Hanshan Normal University. My roommates are so cute and we get well along with each other. In this college, I don’t know a lot of people, just my classmates, several senior sisters and a senior brother. After one-year study, I found my goal, not just struggle for finding a good job and being an excellent teacher, but also I want to held a special kindergarten and to own a shop. With time going by, I should grow up and so I do. I think I should say “thank you” to who have ever come into my life, taught me something then gone away.
