If a foreign friend of mine come to China, the first place I would like invite him to is my hometown--ShiYan, a beautiful small city located in northwest Hubei province. There is a series of mountains surround the city and springs run through the city. When you come here, do remember to pay a visit to the Wudang Mountain, once you climbed up to the top, just overlook around, the broad view will make you feel such a freedom and all the mountains around you are bowing to you, that just what makes you feel yourself a king. Besides, during your trip, you may visit numbers of old architectures, there are several beautiful lakes with playing swans and monkeys. In a word, it is worth the trip. As for food, the “sanhe soup” is famous here, delicious slippery tender beef slices, pouring water crystal bright sweet potato vermicelli, and boat- like meat dumplings, pouring the boiled bone soup, looks gorgeous color. Mixed a taste of sweet, hot and acid, it is great to eat. What is more, if you like noodles, the “wintercherry noodles” is a good choice. ShiYan is a city not beautiful but warm.
