Recently, With the development of society, many people can afford their own cars.and with the number of the cars rising, we are facing some problems. Now,government agencies in some big cities have been studying the possibility of putting a “pollution tax” on private cars in order to deal with it.There are two opposite opinions about it.As far as I am concerned, private car owners should be taxed for pollution. I think the most important thing is that a “pollution tax” be put on private cars is necessary to control the number of cars and reduce pollution in the city.For one thing, it is a good way to raise people's environmental awareness.There will be less private cars ,and the serious air pollution in the city can be effectively controlled.For another thing,there may be more people choose to take public transport instead of driving private cars,we called it as “green travel”.And it is a good way to ease the traffic pressure. All in all,with an increasing number of private cars, charge pollution tax to car is a very good and necessary attempt to use the means of taxation to treat the pollution. I believe it is a effective measure to protect our environment.
