ported him to my bed to sleep with me. However, I could hardly get to sleep, for I was feeling that a pure heart was bleeding . From then on, he wasn’t fond of talking with others any more. Although, he talked with me sometimes. He kept himself behind the window more often than before. Sometimes, waking up in the morning, I saw he was bending over the window. I could hardly find a way to help him. Suddenly came a day when he took my hand and whispered to me that he would set off for a very beautiful and rich city in the south the next day, leaving behind the school, his hometown and his best friend, me , and that he would go a long way in the future. He talked on and on, meanwhile, he smiled. “I will earn a lot of money , then I want to buy a car and a very beautiful villa, in which I will live a calm life.” Oh, dear! I could hardly believe my own ears. What he said means that he would leave the next day. Just the next day! I asked with puzzle on my face: “Chen , have you decided?” He nodded calmly. Then he pulled my hand and ran outside, “Let’s enjoy ourselves until sunset.” He shouted. So we did. We ran in the field, so that all our clothes were covered with dust. We rambled on the river where grew a lot of reeds. I picked up a reed catkin and blew. As a result , his whole head was covered with white. We played until dark , indeed, we chased after the setting sun with laugh all the way. Forgetting the time and the way. We enjoyed ourselves for long… Now , without my friend, Chen, I can only stand in the wind, in such a beautiful evenfall and look back on the days before. I know , he is walking on the road of a southern city with his future dream . And I am still studying in the northern school, dreaming of going to university. We are remarkable. There is still a long way for my friend, Chen and me. Never forget the boy who liked dreaming and was fond of sitting behind the window, looking into the darkness outside. May there be enough clouds in his life to make a beautiful sunset.
