Recently, both the government and the public pay more and more attention to the air pollution and also think out kinds of measures to make the sky blue again including taxation for private car owners. But in my opinion, it is not reasonable to tax the private cars now. Firstly, even the experts can not tell who is the "biggest culprit" for the air pollution. Air pollution is caused by many kinds of ways such as: coal burning for heating system in the city, industrial pollution, rubbilsh burning, car emission, etc. Secondly, it can not solve the fundamental problems just to tax the private cars. Only a small part of cars can be restricted to be drove on the road by the taxation measure. Several days ago i saw a documentary film on the website. It says that actually the pectroleum quality in China is much lower than the international standard. That is to say, more harmful gas will be emitted out by the cars. So I think firstly the government should improve the pectroleum quality if the tradditional cars can not be upgrated for the time being. Secondly, it is well known that electric cars come into the market gradually, such as Tesla. I believe the clean energy will be the trend in the future. The government should encourage and invest more on the rearch and development of electric cars. So when confronted with social problems, i think taxation is not the only way to solve it and it can not deal with the problem fundamentally. When the electric cars are sold in China in reasonable price and enough recharger stations are available for the citizens. I believe that more and more people will choose the electric cars. Finallly the car emission problem will be root out.
