It is universally acknowledged that human being are facing a terrible environment. Some people argue that we have lost the chance to improve this situation while some people believe that many measures still deserve a try. We have to recognize that some damages are not able to recover. Human being excessively use resources to develop industry and produce goods to meet increasing need of society and most of the resources cannot be replaced. For example, water, fossil and coal are regarded as none-renewable energy, so with population growth rapidly our resources will exhausted one day. Besides, we destroy farmland to make room for new construction and we hunt some wild animals for clothing and food. Such human activities make many species become extinct and we suffer from more and more disasters such as floods, droughts and dust storm. However, with the help of advanced technology we are able to improve our environment. We can transform the way we work and study. By reducing the usage of cars and using the internet to work from home can reduce fossil fuels emission. Encouraging distance education can improve the quality of education with less pollution. Also it is meaningful to generate electricity by wind power, solar energy and water hydro instead of traditional energy, which can ease the burden on resources and meet the demand of people. In addition, we can avoid using single-item and reuse shopping bag to reduce wastes and plant trees to protect biodiversity. On the other hand, Holding International conferences to discuss the same environmental problem we all face and seeking for international cooperation can make it easier to solve these problems. We can sign an agreement to monitor the member countries and share the new technology to contribute to environmental conservation. Although we have missed many chances to protect our home, we can still make efforts to reduce the damage to nature. As long as we raise our awareness of conservation and take a action we will build an eco-friendly world one day.
