Are Dialects Just as Acceptable in Public Places? As we know, China is a big country with diversity nations, spread areas and big population. Every nation has it own culture, as well as every district. Dialect as an important culture which is spreaded from our ancesors, is regarded as a feature of a district. As we know, Mandarin is a official language in China. Thus, people think dialect should not be appeared in public places. Dialect as one of our culture should be spread. As Mandarin has been official language, more and more peopel use mandarin instead of their own dialects. In school, there are majority of students speak mandarin, and it is weired if you speak dialects in school. So there has been a phenomenon children can hardly speak dialect and their parents or grandparents start to learn mandarin as to communicate with their kids. It is disappointing that dialects has to been forgotten. For me, i think dialect is a beautiful language.I am proud of using dialect in public place. It is a symbol of my identify, people can know my hometown througout my dialect. Besides, Dialect is a precious trait our ancesors left for us, so we should spread it rather than hide or forget it. Language is one of our cultural, as well as dialect, therefore, dialect should be acceptable in public places.
