The table below gives information about the numbers of international students from four areas of the world who came to study at university level in a western country in 2000 and 2005.

The table illustrates the data of students from four different countries who studied for a university degree and above in a western country in the year of 2000 and 2005. From the table we can see that China with the biggest quantity of 35,000 students who studied institutions aboard in 2000, as much more than twice students as the Indian students with 15,000. Japan and Brazil made up a small proportion of all enrollments with 6000, and 2000 respectively. In 2005, Chinese students went through a dramatically decrease with 22,000 who learned outside. In contrast, Brazilian students had a rapid increase, with 8,000. and India and Japan fluctuated gently. India had a slow rise and Japan reach a slight decline, with 16,000 and 4000 students Overall, there is a steady fall in the number of students who studied in foreign country. Nevertheless, China still the biggest group in the four areas.
