Nowadays，it is controversial whether the government should only put their financial support for education to scientific research rather than the research which is less useful, such as article, philosophy, anthropology and so on. Both of ideas have some supporters. For those who agree with this point believe that it is a waste of resource to fund the subjects that are useless, because they make no improvement to our life, while those subjects, for example, mathematics, electronics etc., stimulate the development of our economics, especially, make our life more convenient. The government should give more financial support to such subjects and encourage scientists who are devoted themselves into the scientific research. Additionally, the reward and pain are not balanced for those subjects such as anthropology, we find that when the scientist de the related research, there is no sense for us ordinary people even though they have some amazing or magnificent finding, nothing will change in our daily life. What's more, there are more critical issue should be solved, like environment pollution, sanitation, global warming and so on, the government can save more money if they don't fund those useless subjects and pour these money to the urgent issues. However, some people hold the opposite idea. There is no doubt that the consequence of some subjects can be seen immediately, but some subjects which are so-called 'useless' are actually long-term research, it may be a preservation of our ancient culture, we have no awareness of them until it disappear. These subjects are like a cup of tea, only after we taste it gradually, we can finally find the fragrance of it. No subject should be cancelled, and every one has its own value more or less. In my own opinion, I am convinced that government should put more money according to different requirements and for those subjects which are really critical to be solved, they can fund more; and for those long-term research, keep a permanent funding every year. What's more, they should censor the progress of each subject that they funded, and then evaluate the value and process, then according to the results, they can adjust the allocation of the funding.
