Recently, there is a heat debate about whether the tax private car owners should be taxed for pollution. Some regard it as an effective way to control of the number of cars and reduce pollution in the city. But others don’t think so. I hold the view that the private car owners should be taxed. Firstly, taxing the private car owners is a very good way to protect the enviroment. It will increase the expense of driving cars, so that people will reduce the buying and using of cars. As a reesult of this, the pollution of the cars will reduce. Secondly, as I just refered, it will reduce the buying of cars. Therefore, the producers will sell their cars at cost, so that people who cannot afford a car would have a chance to buy a car. This is conduce to justice of the society. Third, because the taxing of cars, the car producers will turn to improve their products. consequently , they will invent some new kind of cars, whose emission levels will be in a more environmental condition. I think the taxing of private car owners contributed to an improvement of cars' quality. All in all, taxing the private car owners is a win-win measure, it not only do good to producers, but also do good to the consumers. More importantly, it is an enviromental action.
