Nowadays, cars are the new standard of success.So, car sales have reached a historic peak.But recently government suggests that private car owners should be taxed for pollution.As far as I'm concerned,it's a great solution for protecting environment. Probably the primary reason is that the air pollution will be reduced.The more cars ,the more pollution. A case in point is Beijing.In the atmospheric pollutants, 39% of carbonic oxide,74.8% of hydrocarbon and 46.2% of oxynitride come from the automobile exhaust.In the second place,the increasing number of cars gives rise to the deceasing efficiency.Traffic jams happen all the time, and it decreases the efficiency of the whole society.But the solution may lead to the reduce of cars and solve these problems.What’s more, many other aspects will also be influenced.For instance,the more cars,the more roads. This will give rise to forest degradation and desertification along the road. Besides,automotive fuel results in the decrease of energy which will bring harm to our planet. By and large, it’s a good choice to levy the tax for pollution.Maybe only in this way can the number of cars be controlled.And with more policies about pollution, the environment will be improved.
