As is vividly and ironically depicted in the picture, three men are busing with pouring water into the barrel which was never filled on the edge. One is responsible for shouldering water, the other one carrying water up the ladder, the last pouring water into the barrel. Even though they made a collaboration with each other, and did their best endeavour to finish the task, they never succeed. Why? The reason is that the pieces of wood of the barrel were broken. Simple as the cartoon is, it does reflect a rather distributing phenomenon that all we did was unuseful word, when we dedicate the bulk of our power into task if we neglect crucial problem in our life. The author of the picture wants to express that we should take an overall view on our duty at first, and then to find out the leading cause then resolve the correct problem. Everyone knows the goal is important for our life, but if we haven't a correct orientation we never success. As the old idol from Mao Zedong that is "All things should be realistic". Only when we have generally comprehension about the reality, and master the crucial and leading cause, the success will come to us.
