There is no doubt that our present-society is full of competition and cooperation. However, some people argue that competition is more significant than co-operation, while others express their opposition. As far as I am concerned, competition and co-operation are playing important roles in our society. But honestly, from my own experience, cooperation is more helpful today. There are several reasons. First things first, a single man can't complete a great work without others' help even the most gifted people in the world. One piece of chopstick can break off easily, nevertheless, a bunch of chopsticks can be quite strong. This is what we called the strength of cooperation which is available now in everywhere. With every part of the team trying their best to attain their goals, the efficiency will double up. Secondly, competiton exists anyhow even in the most tacit team.It can inspire member to improve themselves to a certain extent. However, if everyone considers that competition is more meaningful than cooperation, and thinks others are enemies, how the world will be? Selfishness and distrust will ruin everything.Cut-throat competition which will disturb the order of the economy, science, even the whole human society. Last but not least, actually, competiton and co-operation can't be directly seperated. Setting the example of coke-cola and pepsi-cola for my point of view, in the past several decades, these two companies have not only competed with each other, but also co-operated with each other in some ways. They try to create a benign environment of softdrink companies and a win-win strategy. All in all, competition can motivate people to enrich himself and become a better man. At the same time, learning to how to cooperate with each other which means teamwork is a necessary and basic skill of life. Not only because its functions but also our human are social animals.Competition makes ourselves get better, co-operation makes our human get better.
