People are likely to build their judgment to others by the first sight which always turns to be totally wrong. When comes to snap judgment, different voices are held by various people. As for me, I definitely disagree with snap judgment. Take interview for example. Nowadays, interviewers prefer to hold an interview ranged from 5 to 10 minutes with candidates and then just select the best ones. I believe, however, interview incurs snap judgment due to its time limit. With short time span, interviewees tend to assess any person impulsively by impression which opens to nepotism and favoritism. As a matter of fact, impression is not so reliable as credentials, not so informative as personal reference and not so accurate as scores. What’s worse, with short time span, interviewees who concentrate on answering questions all the way cannot bring out their best due to heavy pressure, which most of them miss an opportunity by instant conclusion. And it also poses a trouble to human resource manager trying out to go for excellent job hunters. On the other hand, spontaneous judgment shows no respects to the person one considered. As we all know, preparing a job interview cost a person much energy and time. What would one feel about when his or her merely to be evaluated by partiality. If this phenomenon continues, social instability cannot be ensured because unfair treatment and pose a threat to social development. So, the interviewers are advised to use more ways to pick employees instead of spur-of –the moment decision. To sum up, I against snap judgment by its unreliability without respect to others.
