Recent years have seen a heated topic on whether it is wise or not to make friends online.The supporters believe the students can build the ability of expression via making friends online. The other side,however,frowns at it,saying that it will exert bad effect on the students. Personally,it occurs to me that making friend online is wise. Firstly,it can enhance the ability of expression which the contemporary students especially lack of. A case in point is the people who are naturally bashful. They can defuse awkward situations that may happen in reality by communicating online. And it dawns on me that the relationships between people can be more easily to approach through chatting online. Secondly, we can make friends of all kind,especially the person from different countries. It is favorable for foreign language learning as well as the understanding of foreign culture. What’s more, it is a considerable method for cultural fusion. In addition,it turns out to be time-saving. It just spends several seconds in communicating online while we are stuck for finding the opportunities to make friends in reality. Taking into account all these relevant factors which affect and contribute to the attitude,we may safely conclude that making friends online can yet be regarded as a wise choice. And with the improvement of network security,it will more safer and efficient.
