when it comes to English novels,what I like most is Little Women. So let’s talk about it. This is the story of four sisters' growing maturity and wisdom and the search for the contentedness of family life. From where I stand, there is no denying that I really learn a large number of things by reading this interesting novel. Besides, I also find some wonderful sentences in the novel. What I want to show are as follows. “It was hard for her to be poor because she could remember the time when their home had been beautiful, with everything they wanted.” “Meg danced and laughed and talked to as many young men as she could manage, but went to bed feeling that she hadn’t enjoyed herself as much as she had expected.” “Jo, watching her little sister, thought about how unselfish Beth always was ─── living for others and trying to make home a happy place for all who came here.” “When he went away, looking hurt and unhappy, Jo wished she had been more forgiving.” “Jo understood exactly what the smiles were saying, and went out to the kitchen complaining to herself about 'excellent young men with brown eyes!'” Actually, before I began to read English novels, I was not interested in reading at all. Additionally, I didn’t regard English as an important subject. From the bottom of my heart, I didn’t pay any attention to English at that time. Oh, maybe it’s because I am Chinese. To be frank, I did badly in English reading. In spite of the fact that I was bad at reading, I made even more progress gradually. Being asked to read English novels, I almost went mad in the beginning. Surprisingly, with time going by, I was absorbed in reading. What’s more, I can read novels much more quickly. And only by reading, can I feel relaxed. Originally, I was confused and I didn’t know the reason why I had changed a lot. Undoubtedly, it’s my English teacher that helps me so much. Without her help, I can’t be excellent enough. Briefly, I think it necessary to do more reading. What I suggest is that everyone read as much as possible.
