In contemporary society, a good child has included many qualities. Different from ancient China which there is only one way to measure a good child- whether obey their parents. But now, in my point of view, to measure whether a child is good enough two of the most essential qualities are honest and be eager to knowledge. To support my standpoint, I have some examples To begin with, if a child who always tells lies, and make fun by cheating, the child will finally pay the price of telling lies. Just like an ancient Chinese, a boy, son of a goatherd, who always shouted " the wolf has come!Help!" when he is taking care of the sheep on the hill alone, but actually there was no wolf there. However, after heard the shout, his parents have come to help in a hurry with their neighbors and of course, the cluster of people feel angry with the boy, but they said nothing but left. After the third time of shouting, the cluster of people choose not to come, but finally the bad boy finally died when the true wolf has come, because nobody believed his scream anymore. And the boy in the story is a typical bad boy. In addition, a child who always eager for knowledge can certainly not only find a good way to improve his/her grades, but also can make their parents feel proud. For instance, my friend is fortunate for learning a new knowledge. So her teacher always willing to help her and because of this her grade is always among the best candidates come out top, and this is actually what makes her parents proud , her parents nearly have no need to worry about her, and maybe this is another way to show her filial piety, and she is absolutely a good child. In conclusion: in my opinions, I think a good child should at least have two basic qualities I showed above.
