Advertisement is the most important way for manufacturers and companies to display their goods and services to the public. From my perspective, a commercial should be allowed if it introduce something that doesn't go against the law in an honest way. Firstly, whether an advertisement is supposed to be allowed should not depend on who it directs to. Commercials with deceptive words, violent scenes, or other illegal factors should be banned immediately no matter to whom they direct, children or adults. In other words, commercials with wrong contents are the ones to ban, not the ones for children under 5 years old. Secondly, advertisements facilitate the business. Advertisements introduce new products to public and attract consumers. By watching commercials, parents get to know new products that suit their children. If they are interested in those products they are prone to pay for it. Since what every parent loves to see is the smile faces of kids. Children will feel happy when they receive a present just like what is displayed on televisions. Admittedly, commercials are not always doing good despite it follows all the rules, especially when it comes to children. When you are young, you want everything, notably toys displayed on televisions. You can be hardly satisfied at this age. What should parents do when their children cry for the toys shown in televisions? That is hard for both parents and children. However, I think we can have a different way to look at it. Parents should let their children know that they cannot have everything they want due to financial or other reasons. It is time, or chance for a crying child to realize that s(he) cannot have everything s(he) is eager for. That’s kind of pain, but also growth. Children have to grow sooner or later. To sum up, Advertisements directed to children should be allowed despite their minor flaws.
