Nowadays,it seems that there are many ways for our students to save money.More and more people choose to use coupons or find group-buy deals to consume.Obviously,saving money is a good virtue in our daily life.However,for some students,they just collect all kinds of coupons whenever they buy anything,which may not indeed help us save money.So being too careful with money is not necessary for a smart consumer. My experience can be an effective proof of this idea. Rather than save money,we are more likely to spend more by impulsive buying.Last month,my friend and I went to the shopping centre to buy some clothes for the coming winter.We hung around there for a whole afternoon.However,instead of finding suitable clothes,we spent much time on the shoes which were on sale in the shop.In order not to miss the discount,we tried on the shoes one by one and then bought some of them,which may not be suitable to wear in the winter.For the higher price,there seems no need to buy clothes.Finally,we still had no clothes to wear and we had to spend more money to buy it. In addition to impulsive buying,there is another more important point.As a saying goes,"you get what you pay for",so being too careful with money may make us ignore the quality of commodities.We value the lower price more than the higher quality,which will reduce the enjoyment of our life.Especially when we eat out or travel,the poor quality would cause much trouble.Last spring,my sister and I went to Hangzhou to have a 3 days' holiday.We use coupons to book a room online.After a long day's traveling in the West Lake,we went to the hotel,only to find that the room was so bad-conditioned.There was no air condition or WiFi,and the bed was too small to hold two people.What's worse,the sound-proof effect of the room is terrible,we were woken up by the outside noise several times during the night.So the next day we didn't have enough energy to enjoy our trip. As we can see,from my own experience,it's not necessary for a smart consumer to be too careful with money. A smart consumer should learn how to make full use of the money to satisfy our needs and bring more enjoyments of life at an appropriate price.
