It’s always being a controversial problem in our society that whether schools should ask students to evaluate their teachers. Since education is the fundamental service that decides the future of one country so the quality of which must be guaranteed. And the best method is to ask the students to do the evaluation. Actually the ways of evaluating teachers are vary and in different people’s perspectives they have different thoughts. From the perspective of teachers, I’m sure most of them dislike the idea of being assessed by their own students. They worry that self-emotion may be blended into the assessment, which inducing the misunderstanding of their teaching quality from school. But at the same time, schools and students must hope to do the evaluation of teachers in this most efficient way. Students represent impartiality, in fact, there’s nobody but students could give the most objective evaluation to their teachers from different perspectives such as the attitude towards students, the extent of discretion to their work, etc. of course there’re all kinds of examinations evaluating teachers’ expertise, but one with bad temper and no passion towards teaching career cannot be a qualified teacher even if he’s expert in his exploring realm. Therefore, evaluating teachers should surely be done by students in school, in order to guarantee the quality of education and the quality of the pillars of society in the future.
