Advertising discourages people from being different individuals by making us all want to do the same and look the same. Do you agree or disagree?

题目讲解:

题义理解上有那么一点难!但是总之都跟广告有关。

广告使人们都看上去一样,也就是广告的宣传效应会影响人们的消费行为 manipulate people's buying behaviour然后掀起一些特定品牌的时尚create fashion。也就是去写广告的影响力会使一些brands垄断市场monopolise the market。
但是广告其实并不会使人们都一样,我们不能低估人们对于产品质量和个人喜好的理性underestimate people's rationality to products quality and the influence of personal preference.
这么一分析,还是我们说的广告经典题,广告到底能不能影响人们的消费!

It should be reasonable and understandable to say that Advertisement has intruding nearly into all aspects of our daily life, therefore, it will be unreasonable to claim that advertisement cannot influence our life. However, it is definitely overestimated by saying that advertisement has already make us all want the same and do the same under its influence. All of us can feel that TV, movie, internet, and countless Apps in mobile phones today are profoundly reshaping, guiding and changing the recipients’ consumption mode. Even the little baby is being influenced by the advertisement and they are now able to click on the screen with their fingers to require their parents to satisfy his/her demand; not to mention the other adults who has been more affected by diverse promotion channels. Generally speaking, with the development of technology in the field fo advertisement, the function of ads is sure to be enhanced and its effects will become more powerful in reshaping our daily life. Nevertheless, no matter how influential the ads may become, the range of ads influence is still within a limit, because each individual has its own independent character and personal preference; the likes and dislikes for each one cannot become the same. To give it more visibility, we can see the resemblance in this scene: one river (ads) carries innumerable boats and ships and rafts (consumers), roughly we can say that they are going the same way either upstream or downstream, but their destinations are quite different at end. To sum up, the trend is that the ads becomes increasingly influential on our daily life, but the ads buster is still not a superman with limitless power to make all people think the same and the same.
