It seems that people are likely to believe in what they have listened or seen as a saying goes that to see is to believe. Living in an age when the adolescents are lack of the necessary guidance and supervision, we can never fail to figure out the fact that teenagers are becoming especially self-conscious. From my point of view, nevertheless, it’s unwise to draw the conclusion at short notice without any thinking. The factors why we are not supposed to come to conclusions directly and irresponsibly only by listening or seeing mainly lie in the following two aspects. On the one hand, sometimes matters are not exactly as they appear. I cannot agree more with the idea that judgment should base on facts instead of hearsay. What we see may be just the surface of them. On the other hand, excluding any thinking before we draw a conclusion, it would sometime hurt the innocent individual. In the current age of internet, it’s extremely a piece of cake for us to acquire tremendous information from all over the world, most of which is merely the information providers’ own perspective. If he/she states affairs unproved, for example, scandal of a star, and we think little about its authenticity, repeating word for word what others say, then who should be to blame once the fact turns out to be wrong? It goes without saying that drawing conclusions rashly is not objective enough to make our statements persuasive. To sum up, we ought to think three times instead of coming concluding straight away, which is the same as the word that looks before you leap. It is unwise for us to define any thing as what we assume or imagine at first sight. Only by considerate contemplation and accurate analyzing can we come up with more rational and reasonable conclusions.
