The cultural shock of the value of friendship makes people be afraid of being friends with foreign friends and disturb people the way of making friends and attitudes towards them. There are two examples as follows: Mr. Qian and Mr. Zhao are good friends. Mr. Qian in the United States,while Mr. Zhao in China, Mr. Zhao had borrowed money to Mr. Zhao through the economic crisis. Subsequently, Mr. money repaid all debts, including interest, and also helped Mr. Zhao to arrange studying in a university for his daughter in the United States. A year later, Mr. Zhao asked Mr. Qian to help his nephew to find a job in the United States. Mr. Qian's friend, Jackson, was very confused. He could not understand that Mr. Qian helped Mr. Zhao again and again and thought that Mr. Zhao was too mean.[3] Someone invited a foreigner to eat a meal. Although the foreigner determined to pay his share of the meal, the man did not make it. Thus, the person thought that the foreigner should teach him English, or should help him modify his thesis. The result is likely to be unpleasant. The foreigner did not feel that he had the responsibility to help him for the meal. However, the man though that the foreigner is too selfish, even that he is not willing to help him amend the thesis at the cost of hours.[4]
