The topic of the website is Gap year, and the title is called “Experience gap year~ follow your dream”. This website focuses on gap year traveling. Four images were taken using a digital camera, and seven images were download from Pixaby; a free image download website. Also, one image was scanned using a scanner, and all of these twelve images are copyright- compliant. In addition, since the website focuses on traveling, most images were scenic spots and scenery around different countries, like Eiffel Tower (French), Aegean Sea (Greece), London Bridge, Statue of Liberty (America), and Mandalay Palace (Burma). These images presented students can follow their dreams to find out their interests through traveling to different countries. Several steps were taken when editing images on Picasa. First, cropped away bits not required using Picasa. Second, retouched clouds/ fire ball on images. Third, parts of images were recolored by changing the fill night, high light, shadows and color temperatures of images. Fourth, Texts were edited on images, and then change the font and color of the text. Fifth, several images were selected to create collages, which including steps like changing background colors and image orders. Finally, two folders were created; one for saving original images and the other for saving images that edited on Picasa. Photoshop practice Tasks were finished before actually creating the web banner. Three images were selected; they are nature scenery, fireball and Eiffel Tower images. First, a new Banner was created and its size was changed to Width (950) and High (200) pixels. Second, selected three images were opened on Photoshop. Third, the color of images was checked by making sure it is RGB color, and making sure the sizes of images are appropriate. Rectangular Marquee Tool were used to selected an nature scenery image, and then Move tool was used to move the selected image to the banner, and Free transform were used to transform the image, and it was used for the background of the banner. The reason is that most part of this image is green color, this makes people visual awake when looking at the banner. Next, the image with fireball was selected, and moved to the left side of the banner using Rectangular Marquee Tool, Move tool, and free transform. This fireball modifies the banner; the aim is to make people free like gap year is very fun, not just exploring students’ interest and study hard. One the right side of the banner, the image with Effie Towel was located using the same method as pervious images. After that, magic eraser was used to erase the background color of both fireball and Effie towel. Next, Rectangle Tool was used to add the borders of the banner; red color was used because it makes the banner visual appeal. Finally, the text was added, which presented the name of my online brochure: Experience Gap year~ follow your dream. The size was 33pt, font style was MoolBoran and the color is similar to the borders. Warped texts were used: faux bold style. This makes the banner more vivid.
