Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing the letter for the purpose of complaining of the chemical plant which contaminates the nearby river.Every day the plant pours a flood of waste liquids into it.The water in it gives off an offensive smell.Fish has become extinct and local residents suffer a lot from the polluted water. For my part,the authorities concerned should take some drastic measures to change the current situation.Firstly,the factory should be closed if it cannot purify the water before it enters the river in a given time.Secondly,stricter regulations and even laws should be instituted and put into effective practice.
