At a small town, it`s weird for you not to speak the local dialect, especially you`re born in this town. The dialect is a representitive of the uniqe culture which derives from the exchange of daily life. it means that the dialect is easier to express themselves and feel closer to each other. Most of the local TV programmes have spoken dialects that people more easily accepte it, and increase their audience ratings. Some sentences ,which are expressed in certain dialtct, are so popular in China that people try to speak everyday.Some songs are so wanderful by singing in the dialect, such as the Cantonese`s song. Some words speaking in Mandarin are just so so, but speaking in the dialect are funny and meaningful. So how can I just forbiden the dialect in public? What`s scope of public? In a village? Everybody speaks dialect, the old people can`t understand Mandarin, not to say speaking it. Recently, The State Administration of Radio Film and Television (SARFT) deliveried a notice for banning the dialects using in the translation of the foreign language.It evokes lots of netizens to discuss it and mock it in different ways. most of people are angry with this decide which infringes on citizen`s right of the freedon of speech. Dialect is a unquie signs marking the histry and culture to the certain area.Every dialect is the treasured part of Chinese culture. How can I just give up our culture. We know that the SARFT wants to break the barrier for communication.We welcome this good will, but we can`t accept the way they do. We reluctant to speak Mandarin when someone can not understand our dialect, but we want to speak diatect when we talk to someone from the same area, it feels closer to each other. We have options to decide when and where to speak Mandarin or dialect.
