Recently, the emergency of pollution tax has aroused heated discussion among the public. Many people in favor of the implement of the pollution tax argue that it is quite environmentally friendly, while other people take the negative idea. From my perspective, the implement of the pollution tax should be encouraged and widespread for arousing people’s awareness of environmental protection and financing the government to launch more environmentally friendly projects. The implement of the pollution tax depending on the emission levels serves as a tool to get more people involved in the environmental protection. Obviously, the amount of cars will be effectively curbed since costumes may take the burden of tax into consideration. As a result, costumes may hesitate to purchase large size of cars, changing their minds to purchase cars more environmentally friendly or even give up buying automobiles. As one of the main sources of the pollution of the city, especially the air pollution, the automobiles have an ever-lasting and enormous influence on the cities’ environment. In addition, tax depending on the emission levels is fair and it conveys the concept that everyone takes responsibility to protect the environment. Furthermore, the tax imposed can finance the government’s environmentally friendly project. The government is the only investor of most environmentally friendly projects, the burden of the government heavy. The government has no choice but to give up many environmentally friendly projects with the reason of lacking money. With the pollution tax the government may study the relevant technique further and get equipped with advanced devices to protect the environment. All in all, the implement of the pollution can arouse people’s awareness to protect the environment and finance the government’s environmentally friendly projects. As the pollution problem has been worse and worse, such brilliant idea should be widely applied to make the earth a better world.
