The reasons for above are two fold. First of all, if you are not staying at the place all the time to see or hear the whole event, you could be misleaded by a moment you see or hear. Just like people can not judge what has happened only by a photo they seen. In addition, even though you see the whole event and hear the whole words, you can not believe easily, for the reason that you don't know whether someone is cheating you.
