There is no doubt that the great progress humans have made is at the cost of natural resources. The earth where we live is confronted with great perils. Some people claim that it is too late for us to save our earth while others believe that it is the time when we should take action as quickly as possible. People taking negative attitudes towards protection measures base their opinions on the severity of the damage humans have done to the nature. Forests are almost disappearing as humans cut off trees for timber to manufacture furniture as well as other artcrafts. it will take more than 300 years for a forest to recover. Also, human beings hunt for and slaughter wilde animals, most of which are suffering massive extinction. It is reported that there is almost one species disapprearing from the earth every year. Furthermore, industrial wastes and pollution has completely damaged our rivers, soil and air, leading to an uninhabitable earth. Thus, whatever we humans do will not relieve the stress of the nature. On the other hand, people belive it is never too late for us to protect our home. The earth is so mysterious that it is able to recover soon only if we protect the nature and no longer destruct it again. Besides, humans has already gained the recognition of their mistakes and are doing many researches to change our industrial lifestyles and make great effort to shuttle wild lives and forest resources by establishing natural protection zones and so on. In conclusion, even though it is the fact that the damage to the nature is immense, we now still have to take actions to protect the earth , never is too late!
