In the present-day society,knowledge is a wide concept,which can be gained either from personal experience or from books.The debate over whether the knowledge learned from experience is more important than the knowledge from books has been raging for some time.I tend to agree that knowledge that comes from experience is of greater importance for the following considerations. Firstly,it has been said,”Not everything that is learned is contained in books.”We live in a well-developed world which is changing at a amazing speed,as a result,anything of various kinds can happen to us any time.In other words,we have so many kinds of experience that books can’t all contain.Hence,it is necessary that we learn more knowledge from experience than from books. Secondly,not all knowledge from books is practical.Theoretically,books are written generally by some talented authors,but it is increasingly prevalent that almost every one can write a book,even though some people can not be qualified as excellent authors.In my opinion,some books are worth reading in terms of learning knowledge,but some other books containing vanity and wrong experience wast our time if you spend lots of time reading them,for the knowledge in those books is not practical. Last but not least,experience can make us more legible in decision-making.Remarkable knowledge from books is just theory,which can’t be helpful when we need to make decisions of some important issues,but if we have undergone the similar issue,the experience may benefit us a lot.We are able to know what we should to do and what is wrong decision. In conclusion,I am inclined to attach more importance to the knowledge from experience rather than from books.Books are just theory,and experience is more practical.Given that many books are written by some authors we don’t know,they may encompass some useless knowledge to some extent,which may wast our precious time to read.
