I support that one should learn a foreign language in the country in which it is spoken. From my own experience, I have learned english for over ten years, and during my education for mater's degree, I have reading over thousands of english articles, but I could not and have little confidence to speak out English with others, even with chinese. And I sometimes have trouble to write english sentenses which express my thought exactly. So, in my thinking, it helps little to improve our foreign language ability simply by reading. To learn a foreign language, we should invoved in a spoken situation and communicate through it everyday. On the other side of the leaf, there is much inconvenience to live in a foreign country in order to learn a foreign language. One has to leave his home, stuck in a totally unfamiliar culture and spend more money. But all of this will be worthy, since we are young, we should learn more cultural differences and spread our horizon; and we have enough time to earn our living by our self. What's more, to learn a language by practising everyday and systimatic reading, our language foundation would be quiet solid that benefits us through our whole-life. If I have any chance to learn a foreign language in a country in which it is spoken, I will not have any doubt to take it.
