In conpemtorary society, watching movies has became one of the most efficient way to relax. Also we can gain something from the movie we watched. However, there are various kinds of movies. Some movies are serious, designed to make the audience think, other movies are designed primarily to amuse and entertain. Different people has different taste, my preferrence is the serious one, for reasons as follow In the first place, one of the most obvious reasons to support my idea is that we can learn something educated from serious movies. For instance, the movie 'Forrest Gump' is definetely an excellent serious movie which taught us never give up; ' The Pursuit of Happyness' tell us what is the true happiness and how much we could do for chasing it by a true story; Another movie'The Shawshank Redemption' whose theme is "Hope" and express the fear of passing of time. There are still something else we can learn from serious movie, and what we learned from them can be perfectly showed in our daily life Secondely, there are some serious movies have happy sections which can relax us as well. To illustrate, the classic movie' gone with the wind' taught us to cherish the present and to love your land because that the only will not change. And the movie taught us these theory by telling us a love story between a couple which the man loves the woman for several years but the girl didn't realize, at last when girl knows it the man has already gone. In this movie we learned theory while we relaxed, however, in some comedy movies we gain nothing from laughing. Conclusively, i think serious movie is better than the amusement movie, at least for me personally
