On the Importance of a Name Opinions about the importance of a name vary to people from people. Some people believe that name of a person is not important mainly because they think that it is just a simple signal that means nothing but a nickname which could not be paid more attention. However, others hold the view that it is of great significance for a name of people. On the one hand, the name is an identification of a person. A fantastic name could leave others a good impression and make them easier to remember a person. If a person with bad and funny name such as “Gou Dan”, “Er long”, “Wang cai” can be laughed at by others hence he or she may feel unhappy and angry . On the other hand, a name can show parents’ cultural level. Good names come from the intelligence and seriousness of parents or our grandparents. From where I stand, good name is very important for one’s whole life. If I have children in my future, I will spare no efforts to make a wonderful name of them.
