For all the times, English is a subject that it is difficult to me to learn. This is little my personal background. My English was ready poor since I was a child, but because my school uses in all subjects teaching in English starting from secondary, I know have to overcome this subject. Starting from senior, I did many exercises and past papers, whereas my most of the English knowledge and skills was just for Exam propose. Fortunately, I finally got the pass result in public examination HKCEE Level 2. Although I am not good at English, I really want to learn it better now. As many jobs’ title and position requests the higher English level, I know that I have to improve my English. Because of my working duties, I have to approach English daily. Not only writing simply business email daily, but also talking with my foreign customers often. Furthermore, I really appreciate the person who can speak English well. Therefore, I start to pick up again in learning English last year. I just have the self-study at the beginning, but I found this might not be workable for me afterward. Honestly, I am difficult to study English as long as I can. I was keen on it just a few weeks, then I stop it with many cause. I cannot manage time to study after work, and I also don’t know which part I should start to study first. I think I need to have a teacher to guide me how to do then. In order to learn English effectively, I decide to take IELTS exam to master my level because this is an international exam. The learning knowledge would be more practical for my working background. However, it is a big challenge for me. Some people say that would be easier than HKDSE, but I don’t think so. I also set a goal in score 7.0 in the exam, and try to work hard to achieve to that level. Personally, now I feel it is far to reach the standard level in IELTS (6.0), it’s not talk about in getting 7.0. Regarding the problem in studying, it is still a big problem for me how to work harder. Everyone included me like lazy. I cannot always keep studying. Whereas I would do a lot in every lesson, but I am usually fail to finish all my planning in final. That is annoying and troublesome for me. I don’t know if I already have over requested myself in higher standard. I am worry about the status of my studying now since I have not yet start the studying in all the modules. In fact, I have already been busy in practicing reading and writing every lesson, but I still not yet start to learn in the listening and oral. Study time seems always not enough to me. As a result, I need someone to monitor all the studying on schedule indeed, and help me to do revision sometimes. Otherwise, schedule and study status may be postponed week by week. Perhaps I need to set a limit for this course. Focusing on the studying breakdown, I think I have to build up my vocab in a short time in order to reach in my expected level. It has been a good start to let me take notes on the vocab that I don’t know. Reading skill is also essential for me to understand the passage’s meaning. I am thinking if the weekly exercises and homework can be more intensive, that might force me to learn as much as I can every lesson. For the listening and oral, I am no idea how to start. If I start on studying these part. I wonder if I can add them in my tight study schedule. Finally, by doing a lot of grammar proofreading, I think I am still weak at basic grammar concept in English, and I found the progressing is slow. It is believed that the most effort I pay, the most result I grain. Can I master IELTS exam in score 6.5-7.0 in a year after? Do I need to strengthen the study planner from now? We have even not started to do the mock papers. I think you are a very nice tutor, but in case my performance is not good or below your expectation, please tell even scold to me seriously.
