People participate in the sports,and almost all of them want to win it. Therefore, some maintain participating in sports is worthwhile only when you win it. For my part, I am against this opinion. First of all, as the old saying goes, in the game, friendship is superior to championship. By competing in the sports,people can make acquaintance with others. These friends may help people in their lives with many issues, which is more significant than winning. Furthermore, people can acquire knowledge and ability from the competition. An old proverb says, a fall into the pit, a gain in your wit. People will gain experience from the failure if they do not win the sports. They can apply those experience into later competition. Last but not least, we can build our characters even if we don't win the competition. By participating in the sports, people may be more brave,persistent,such as those who compete in the marathon. Considering all these conditions,participating in the competition is more than winning the sports.
