It is undeniable that human activities have posed a dramatic threat to the environment, such as deforestation, which in turn results in the extinction of some animals. Some people argue that this problem can hardly be dealt with, while others maintain that there are still chances for us to improve the situation by taking certain measures. As to the former view, we have to admit that it is reasonable in some ways. For one thing, if animals are killed in such a massive scale that one day this kind of animal become extinctive, people can do nothing to bring these animals back. For another, if the earth is contaminated severely, it will be impossible for us to plant any trees on it. However, as far as i'm concerned, what is mentioned earlier does not mean that people can do nothing about the environment. Certain actions can be taken to curb what is happening, i.e. deforestation, water pollution etc. Firstly, people's awarness of protecting the environment should be raised. People's actions are up to their minds. If people can realize that out plant is the only place for us to live on, we will be mind of our own actions in daily life. Secondly, we should reduce our consumption whether in life or in workplace, for instance, we can save a lot trees through reuse of paper. the less use of fossil fuels means the decrease of green house gases. Lastly, people should stay in harmony with both plants and animals to keep the diversity of creatures. In conclusion, despite the fact that human activities have exert great impact on the environment, there is still much room of us to make improvements.
