The suggested strategies for controlling traffic congestion highlight various critical issues that are likely to spike protests from the political sphere in LA. In turn, the above will call for initiatives for mitigating equity concerns that are perceived or real and those relating to road pricing. For the above reasons, it is also important to have the complementary set of strategies that will assist in reducing congestion and mitigating concerns of equity, for instance, those that distribute benefits and costs broadly to the transport stakeholders. However, the failure or success of the policy strategies lies in the aspects of policy analysis, detailed engineering, and more son in the political goodwill. As such, mobilising the support from both the ruling collation and the opposition in both spheres of the county and the federal government is prudent. Evidently, the political challenges in LA are more compounded because of the complex decision-making environments in which cooperation must be sought among multiple agencies.
