In this particular factor, law has been considered as a persuasive source for shaping morality of societies. From a general perspective, moral norms and beliefs of each individuals within the societies have been moulded and sustained by number of sources ranging from family and peers to educational institutions to occupational workplaces and media among others. Due to the diverse nature and characteristics of the communities, the law perhaps considered to be a powerful source that have major influence on shaping or sustaining moral and beliefs of individuals or groups within the societies (Tyler, 1994). This is owing to the fact that law is often recognised as a denominator for people while residing as a group in a particular community. Specifically in the condition of uncertainties, individuals within a particular society are more likely to seek information from their own environment that offers credible indications in order to make relevant judgement or to resolve ambiguity over any particular concern or issue. People are more willing to look for social consensus alongside genuine confirmation of the community regarding the information for addressing or resolving personal ambiguities (Warr et al, 1983).
