English is an international language which becomes more and more important in the modern world. In China, English is taken as a foreign language which many students choose to study. They set out to remember English at an early age and lay out more than one hour to acquire a wide and extensive knowledge of English each day. Even kids in kindergarten have begun to recite simple vocabulary. That's a good miracle, for English is fundamental nowadays. In addition, a group of people consider English is superior to the Chinese. In my opinion, although English is great significance, it is a foreign language which is hard for people to see eye to eye after all. English helps us to read original English works, but Chinese helps us to learn a real China. Only by characters can the Chinese literature send off its brilliance. Learning country culture, especially its traditional culture, we must incorporate its lexicon firstly. Why do we Chiness abandon our mother tongue and catch on to our own civilization through a foreign language?
