China is the homeland of silk. Therefore, there are various crafts being related to silk.One of these is embroidery. Embroidery is one of Chinese traditional folk handcraft,which has been having two or three thousand years' history at least. Most working on embroidery are women, consequently embroidery is also called women's needlework. Embroidery is popular with Chinese widespread. Not only is embroidery used to decorate clothes, such as in the cloth, quilt, pillowcase and so on with some beautiful charts, but also is made special ornament. China has four famous embroideries, and all of them are Suzhou's SuXiu, Guangdong's YueXiu, Hunan's XiangXiu and Sichuan's ShuXiu. Different embroideries has their own unique style and title. Suzhou's SuXiu is known among these.
