Should the Aged Be sent to the Nursing Home Recent years have seen a heated topic on whether the aged should be sent to the nursing home or not. The supports believe the nursing home with better facilities and services can enlarge their circle and maintain the harmony of family atmosphere. The other side,however,claims that with the intimate air,home is also a place of offering better care to the old. Personally,I prefer to choose the latter for the following reasons. Firstly,the old can help their children to do some housework. In the modern society,a majority of young people are busy with their work,which leads to the neglect to their children. Consequently,the grandparents play an extremely essential role in children's life. Furthermore,with no time to cooking,they have to choose the fast food that is unhealthy. At this time,the aged people are glad to prepare a delicious meal for them. Then,living together in the house,family members have a better understanding of the old people's needs so as to offer them better care. Taking into account all the relevant factors which affect and contribute to the attitude,we may safely conclude that home hold superiority over nursing home to the old. It is suggested that great efforts should be made to improve the medical professional skills of family members.
