Most people enjoy reading and they have formed a habit of reading. Therefore, it is heated discussed that people should only read those books that are about real events, real people, and established facts. In speaking of me, I am against this opinion. For one thing, it will impede people's, especially teenagers' development. Among all kinds of readings, there are only few about "real" things. Thus, people are exposed to very few knowledge grounds. They have no new idea for their thoughts are confined to "real" things. For another, this statement will restrict people's imagination. Jules Gabriel Verne's masterpiece "In 20000 Leagues Under the Sea" is considerred a magical book which is full of imagination. He predicted many inventions 100 years ago that we possess today. If people are told to just "real" things. These kinds of novels are banned so that people can never imagine their future life and human will not develop. Last but not least, it will affect the development of literature. As the proverb goes, the world is beautiful because of its variety. Without all sorts of generas, the literature will be so monotonous that no one wants to read it anymore. Above all, it is not a good idea for people to read only "real" books.All kinds of readings should be encouraged to develop.
