In recent years, there is an increasing number of people, especially youngsters, who use the internet in our common life. When it comes to the impact of the internet on interpersonal communication, the views vary from person to person. The internet plays a significant role in the communication with others who are in a distance. No one can deny the fact that we can’t emphasize the importance of the internet too much. Nonetheless, it appears that the internet is too convenient to a fault. Only the internet do a large quantity of people use to communicate with friends, classmates and families, no matter how near they are. Therefore, they don’t or can’t communicate with people when face-to-face. From what is mentioned above, we can safely draw the conclusion that the internet contributes to communicating conveniently, at the expense of interpersonal communication face-to-face. Hence, what we must do is to communicate more with families and friends in real life instead of on the internet.
