Therefore,there is much controversy over the issue of whether sports stars deserve the pay and admiration and they are getting or not. I tend to believe that they in a sense do deserve the pay and high admiration. Being a well-known sport star requires copious amounts of hard work,fierce competition and short career. To become famous,sports starts must train for years and years to make it to the level of professionals. Not only is this tiring,it also requires that one was born with natual talent. For instance,Ding Junhui,a genius to play Snooker,when he was just 8 years old,lost his fantastic childhood,what he could do is only to practice playing Snooker. This is not an easy lifestyle and requires dedication which many people do not have. Consequently,the money and admiration are recognition of the skills and dedication a person needs to be successful. In addition,the competition is fierce,even brutal,among the sports stars. To get ahead one has to undergo years of systematic training and even then one will find himself far from success. For every Olympic champion,there are countless others who tried almost as hard but failed to make their names known. Furthermore,the athletic career is very short. When still quite young, many sports stars retire for the injury. Every day,they do a lot of exercises with a view to setting a new record in the sports games,with a slight mistake,they being apt to be hurt. It is not a rare occurrence that a myriad of players are forced to withdraw from the competition due to their injury,such as Liu Xiang. Thus,high salary can ensure that they can have a better life after they retire. Meanwhile, great praise for they devote their youth to igniting our passion. Consequently,sports stars are not as glorious and cushy as what people imagined. Personally,I deem that they deserve the pay and admiration and they are getting.
