From pie chart above, Hamburgers are undoubtedly the most popular fast food among all the fast foods listed for American teenagers, which ranked number one on the Fast Food Preferences List, with 33% participants chose it as their favorite. And the second and third place belongs to Pizzas and French Fries respectively, with 26% of the youngsters chose pizzas and 22% favored French Fries. However, the least popular fast food goes to the healthiest food among them, the Sushi, with only 3% of teens picked it as their priority. From the statistics, it can be inferred that American teens prefer foods with high sweet and high fat, in attractive package and with strong fragrance. Besides, they are much more likely to take a traditional western recipe than try exotic eastern foods. Moreover, as the only Asian food appeared on the American Teens’ Fast Food Preference List, Sushi may also represent senses of cultural familiarity and acknowledgement for American adolescents have for Japan and Japanese.
