I always hold an opinion that the meaning of our life is to pursue the happiness. We work for money and achievement which are essential elements for our happiness. However if we can get happiness directly from a thing, we must be willing to do it. As far as I am concerned, social life is a big source for my happiness, thus my job has less happiness than my social life. Jobs always restrict people to stay in a stable station where people have to face the same problems all the time, which will easily to make them feel exhausted. However,the social life always bring a person new things which will broaden his or her eyesight. Only if when a person has enough eyesight of life, he/she can understand what he/she want and eager to own, so that a person can get the dream which will award his/her life a powerful meaning. I want to give you a example to illustrate my opinion. I used to be a waiter in a restaurant. I have to work from 8 AM to 10 PM every day, except the Sundays. My work is to help customers to order the food they prefer and prepare the drink and water for them. I was not allowed to sit down when there was a customer take meal in the restaurant in order to show the respect for them. It was really tired when I finished my daily routine. When I lay on the bed, I always wander why I have to stay here to retain the boring job. There is no happiness at all. I have left the job. Now when I recalled that period time of my life, it comes to me that all the happiness comes from the social life I attended, such as the parties and games with my friends on Sundays. The social life bring me out of the hardship of my work and leave all the trouble behind. To some extend, my social life is the only source of my happiness that time. I like spending time with my friends. We always get together and share our experience with each other. We not only share our happiness but also help others to solve the problems mutually. In this way, we can strengthen our friendship which award us happiness. However, I can hardly share my experience of happiness to my co-workers, not to mention share my sorrow. Our relationship is destroyed by our competition against each other.Our company demand us to achieve the goal which is difficult to finish,or we will be retired by them. I work just for money, so do my colleagues. Maybe we would become good friends if we were not co-workers, but it can not happened ever. I can easily gain happiness from my friends when we attend the social life but can hardly get it from my work. Anyway, as for me, my job is not a good choice to gain happiness. I like my social life because it has more happiness than my job does.
