The life style of people varies with different countries, and it usually is decided by many factors, such as national culture, economic and political and so on. With the intensification of globalization, the interaction among the nations become more and more frequent. Therefore, it is necessary to people to know the foreign country. Under the circumstance, people take many measures to deal with the problem, include reading foreign newspapers and magazines , travelling abroad, watching the foreign films, making foreign friend and chat with them in internet. But which of them is the most efficient method that we should choose is debated heavily. Personally, I declared that the best way is to read foreign newspapers and magazines. Firstly, the newspapers and magazines usually reflect the foreign life custom and social mode. Just like as our own country, we almost acquire information of some events from newspapers. As we all know that the news, nowadays, coverage a very wild range, and it not only contains the affairs that are relevent with the country political, military and economic, but also includes some personal trifles. Thus, a wealth of newspapers information gives me a chance to understand the foreign country. In addition, the news usually depict a small part of foreign matter, and do not or seldom introduce their culture and life, so only browse the newspapers is not enough to understand a country, we also need read some magazines about the foreigns' life custom. Admittedly, the other approaches can also improve our knowledge of foreign, but they are not as convenient and proficient as read newspapers and magazines. For instance, travelling abroad is the most immediate method to know the foreign countries for it offers a chance to learn with the foreigns face to face. However, the expenditure of it is too much that majority people don't afford. The most of films are not reality, it is useless to know the foreign countries. Making foreign friends also is a good idea, but the requirements, that demand the people who must possess some knowledge of foreign country, of it is too rigorous to conform it. In conclusion, according the cause mentioned above, I insist that the most efficient measure is to browse the newspapers and magazines.
